Glad you came by
An idea I had to chase.
This site began as a question: what if a portfolio behaved like a place, not a document? Something with a resident bee, honeycomb for walls, and a story you fly through rather than a grid you skim.
The idea arrived uninvited, the way the good ones do, and you either chase those or you let them go. So I chased it: pollen for a loading screen, a hive for the work, one bee flying the whole way through, all built by hand in code. The chase is the point.
2The work
I don't know how to do just one thing.
Sketchbooks before screens, brand marks before products, and now design systems that ship as working code. Six-plus years across graphic design, UX, product and front-end, with a studio of my own on the side.
Days are spent at Ofofo, a cybersecurity startup, where design gets audited, not applauded: an AI compliance platform trusted by CISOs, and a design system AI tools follow 96% of the time. The through line is simple. I cannot make something without caring too much about it.
4What drives me
Principles from a swordsmith.
The moment the work holds. Not the launch, not the applause: the quiet second when someone leans on a thing I made and it takes their weight. I chase that feeling across every discipline I touch.
My design principles come from Masamune, the old Japanese swordsmith. Legend says leaves drifting onto his blade flowed past unharmed, because a perfect edge cuts only what needs cutting. That is the work: sharpen until nothing unnecessary is touched, and the tool itself disappears.
6The toolkit
From Figma to production.
Research that sometimes has to be smuggled into podcast gaps, because CISOs never sit for interviews. Design systems built to be followed, by people and by AI.
And enough code to ship the real thing: this site, its bots and its experiments are all built, not just designed.
8Good work needs the right people
Let's build something.
The best work I have done came from people who cared about the thing itself, not the brief. Someone with a real problem, a real ambition, and enough trust to figure it out together.
I ask questions even when it gets uncomfortable, push back early when something feels off, and stay until it is right. If that sounds like your kind of team, the door is open.
